Double Digits: 10 months

Stop it.  Stop it right.  Now.  All this growing and changing is so not cool- but so very amazing at the same time!  You are now 10 months old (on September 28th) and are so much fun!

We went to get your second flu shot and you weigh around 23 lbs.  Your baby blues are staying baby blue.  Your blonde, curly hair is staying blonde and curly.

You are pulling up on ALL the furniture- even the walls- and using it to get around.  You will walk behind your sit and stand toy and with help from Momma and Daddy.

You are eating breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack bottle, and dinner- fruits and cereal with breakfast and veggies with lunch and dinner.  You snack on veggie straws, Nilla wafers, yogurt, avacados, etc.  You are starting to show more interest in "people food" and we let you try it when you do.

You love talking, smiling, laughing- and you know when people are watching you :)  The last few times we have dropped you off at the nursery on Sundays or Wednesdays you have started to cry when I hand you off- I am really hoping this is a stage we move out of quickly....it breaks my heart to have to leave you while you cry when I know all I have to do to dry your tears is hold you.  Thank goodness your Daddy takes you to day care each morning.

Messy eater :)

Already a rough and tumble boy- but such a happy one!!

First Rangers Game!  You did great!  Watched the game and slept the whole time, never fussed!

I don't know why, but you love to get into your car seat if we have it on the ground.

One Wednesday night after church, you fell asleep in the car and I was going to try and change you (at least your diaper) before you went to bed- you promptly rolled over and kept sleeping.

You love, love, LOVE being outdoors!  We go on a walk at the park every day I am off work.

Bath time is still a favorite!

You loved watching Peyton play the piano!

Playing Catch Up: Eight and Nine Months

Well the end of summer FLEW by!  Between work and visiting family and keeping up with John, I could never seem to remember to type an update.

So this entry will contain pictures from John's eighth and ninth months!

Eight months:

You are eating baby food fruits with cereal mixed in plus a 6 oz bottle for breakfast, a veggie container and a 6 oz bottle for lunch, an afternoon 8 oz bottle, and a veggie container with a 6 oz bottle for dinner.  You also enjoy these crackers called Mum Mums that are easy to dissolve in your mouth once you bite a piece off- they were a Godsend on the trip to the beach!

You go to sleep around nine and wake up around seven pretty consistently.  There are still some nights that you wake up super early and we can usually get you to fall back asleep with us on the couch of sometimes in the bed.

You have six teeth still, but I think there are two on the bottom that are about to poke through!

You have really started scooting like crazy and even pulling yourself up on the couch or furniture.  At first you really just fell over when you were tired of standing, but you have gotten better about sitting down on your bottom and then laying down to scoot off.

My handsome date to Uncle Andrew and Aunt Alyssa's wedding

Watching the Boston Pops and Washington Fireworks shows on the Fourth!

Our little helper! Assists with the cooking and the cleaning of dishes!  Raising him right!

Waiting for Uncle Andrew and Aunt Alyssa at the airport when they got back from their honeymoon!

Typing a memo to the board.

Standing up on anything you can get your hands on!

You climbed into your car seat one night and played there most of the evening- crazy kid.

Nine Months

These pictures are getting tough!

Weight: 22lbs 3 oz
Height: 28 inches
Eye color: Blue

You are ALWAYS on the prowl!  You are crawling and pulling up on everything in sight- a couple of times you have even stood up without holding on to anything- yay and yikes! Haha!

You continue to be a sweet, happy boy- only fussing when you are hungry or tired.  Although I think we are getting to the age where you like to be held by your Momma more than anyone else.  If I hand you off to someone else, you sometimes will fuss and reach for me.  But if I walk away and give you time, you are fine!

You started back to day care at the end of August and are now in the Caterpillar room!  You are doing so well with the new schedule.

Still eating about the same, although we are starting to introduce more people food as you show interest.  We also keep a sippy cup with water around to get you to start trying to use that- you mainly won't, but sometimes show interest.  You are consistently holding your own bottle now.  You usually take one morning nap and one in the afternoon and then crash around 8:30-6:30.

Trying out eggs and pancakes

You get into EVERYTHING! Nothing that is within your reach is safe!

How can you say no to that face right there?!?  Really noticing grass for the first time.

You have found the monitor!!!

We got a little too adventurous one evening and you hit your nose on the rail of the bar stool.  You cried for a second and then were over it- did not break your nose of even bruise!

Your go-to smile right now is this no teeth grin- melts my heart every time!

We got a nap in before Daddy came home one day!

Happy National Bow-tie Day!
